Description
Born into a Salvadoran family, this body of poetry is from a first generation Latin-American covering a seven year time frame beginning with a teenage love affair through the battle of early adulthood. The themes in these poems include being true to oneself, erotic discoveries, and religious plights between good and evil. These poems include several references to escapism and an on-going defiance towards self-destruction.This poetry touches upon two worlds and the struggle to be free.
